Guru or teacher has always been considered to a God in the Hindu culture.

Guru Purnima is the day to celebrate and pay our gratitude to our "gurus".

The Sanskrit word literally translates to the one who frees us of ignorance.

The term 'guru' has a meaning behind it. 'Gu' stands for darkness and 'Ru' means removing darkness. 

With the blessings of His Holiness Sant Hirdaram Sahibji and Shraddhey Siddh Bhauji, the tiny tots of Vidyasagar Public School presented their gratitude to their beloved Gurus through beautiful presentations, dance performances and rhymes on the virtual platform and paid obeisance to them for bringing the light of knowledge in their lives. 

Teachers also offered prayers in the school to seek blessings from the Almighty.
